Use explicit assumptions

Record the commercial assumption behind each expected receipt: an agreed invoice, a negotiation or a target sale. Add a separate field for whether the intended collection route is confirmed. This prevents the financial model from presenting a planned service as though it has already generated revenue or made funds available.

Build an alternative case

Ask what changes if the new route is not active when the invoice becomes due. Keep a workable existing option where possible and identify genuinely dependent sales. Tap Tap Go’s European euro and hybrid capabilities are coming soon; a forecast should show that dependency rather than burying it inside an optimistic total.

Imagine this

An illustrative future scenario

Imagine a team preparing its next-quarter plan around future euro collections. It models the same commercial opportunities with an established collection alternative and separately flags customers whose intended route remains unresolved, making the forecast easier to challenge and improve.

Make it practical.
