Do not let the old amount define the new work
A client may request additional deliverables after receiving a link. Agree the revised scope through the appropriate process and review the financial route before asking the client to act. The link should reflect the actual commitment rather than become a shortcut around the conversation about what changed.
Preserve the original context
Keep earlier proposals and the revised agreement understandable in the project record. If the old route remains accessible, manage it through the supported controls and explain which instruction now applies.
Hypothetical worked scene
In a hypothetical design project, a client adds an extra deliverable before using the original payment link. The professional updates the agreement and appropriate financial instruction first. The customer can then make the intended commitment without assuming the old amount covers work that was never part of the original package.
Make it practical.
