Separate forecasts from confirmed funds

Record expected sponsorship or ticket income as a forecast, with the assumptions visible. Keep confirmed financial records in a different part of the budget. An enthusiastic customer, a payment intention or a proposed new receiving route does not establish money available to commit to suppliers.

Give commitments their own review

Before approving a venue or production obligation, check the business’s actual resources and the agreed contract. Do not assume future Tap Tap Go receipts can be reserved, protected or used in a particular way without confirmed programme terms. SEPA and vIBAN access are coming soon; the organiser still needs a workable budget if the proposed collection route is unavailable.

Imagine this

An illustrative future scenario

Picture an organiser preparing a future euro sponsorship collection. The event budget shows that expected income separately from funds already confirmed, so the team does not order additional staging simply because the proposed receiving journey looks ready in a presentation.

Make it practical.
