Move from recognition to reasoning

Tap Tap Go’s feature list includes an about section alongside the short biography. Treat these as different layers. The short introduction establishes relevance; the about section explains how you approach the work, what you prioritise and the situations in which your contribution is useful. A visitor choosing whether to contact you may need more than a title but less than a complete career history. That middle layer is where an explanatory account becomes valuable.

Choose details that help someone work with you

Describe the kinds of questions you ask, the responsibilities you normally take and the boundaries of your role. Use concrete language that can survive a follow-up conversation. Avoid converting personal preferences into universal promises about delivery. If the profile represents a company, distinguish your own approach from an approved company-wide process. The longer section should make a future conversation more informed, rather than create new uncertainty about what the organisation actually provides.

Imagine this

Hypothetical scenario

A hypothetical project lead uses the biography to explain their focus on customer onboarding. In the about section, they describe how they first map responsibilities and identify missing handoffs. A prospective collaborator can now ask about the method, not merely repeat the question of what the person does.

Make it practical.
