Explain the expertise boundary
A profile owner may be the right first contact while a colleague handles a particular technical or operational question. Use the profile’s company context or a relevant resource to explain that division. Avoid publishing a specialist’s details without an appropriate basis or suggesting that they have agreed to an immediate consultation.
Preserve the original question
When making the handoff through the organisation’s process, include the context the visitor has already provided. A quick icon or contact link should not erase the conversation. The recipient should understand why the specialist is relevant and what happens next, while the specialist receives enough information to respond intelligently.
Hypothetical scenario
A hypothetical founder routes a detailed implementation question to a colleague after explaining their role. The handoff includes the original question, so the prospect does not need to reconstruct the discussion from the beginning.
Make it practical.
