Explain the activity

If you link to a professional community or feature participation in your biography, state what you actually do there. Attending, volunteering, speaking and organising are different roles. A logo alone may leave the reader to infer a stronger relationship than exists. Use the profile to make the contribution understandable.

Keep the organisation’s position separate

Do not imply that the community endorses your business or product unless that is established and appropriate to publish. A relevant community connection can still enrich the profile by showing the subjects and relationships you engage with. The value comes from accurate participation, not borrowed authority.

Imagine this

Hypothetical scenario

A hypothetical professional describes volunteering at a community workshop and links to the public event context. They do not present the community as a commercial partner or product endorser.

Make it practical.
