Explain the credential
List the issuing organisation, the credential name and its relationship to your current service. Avoid implying that membership, attendance and certification are interchangeable. If a credential has a validity period, check its current status before publishing it. Decorative badge graphics should not substitute for a readable description. A visitor should be able to distinguish professional training from an award, partnership or customer relationship.
Choose relevance over accumulation
Prioritise credentials a buyer would reasonably use to assess fit. Move older or unrelated achievements into a longer biography if they still serve a purpose. Link to an official verification route when one exists and is appropriate to share. Do not display a customer logo as if it were an endorsement without permission. A concise, accurate credential section can be more persuasive than a large collection of unexplained symbols.
Hypothetical example
A hypothetical consultant separates a current professional certification from a conference attendance badge. The certification receives an explanatory line and verification link; the conference appears in the biography. This makes the distinction clear without diminishing either experience.
