Include the subject in the process
An administrator or assistant may prepare a profile, but the person’s name, role, photograph and biography should be checked through an appropriate review process. Confirm that the information is current and that the person understands the public use. A polished draft can still contain an incorrect responsibility or an image they do not recognise.
Make corrections easy
Provide a clear route to update factual mistakes and explain which fields are managed centrally. The person should not need to work around the system to correct their own public identity. Corporate consistency and individual accuracy can reinforce each other when the review process is practical.
Hypothetical scenario
A hypothetical team member reviews a prepared profile and corrects an outdated role description before publication. The administrator keeps the approved company information while incorporating the accurate individual context.
Make it practical.
