Build a destination list
Collect links from the website, profile, PDF, QR materials and email templates. Record the intended destination and its owner. Test each link while signed out and on a mobile device where relevant. Do not stop at whether the page loads; check that it contains the promised material and the current version. A functioning link can still lead to the wrong information.
Plan maintenance
Assign a review interval and a process for urgent corrections. Use stable maintained destinations where practical so widely distributed links can continue to point to current information. Keep redirects deliberate and transparent. Review links whenever a service, team role or project status changes. The objective is a dependable route from interest to useful evidence, especially when a printed card or older presentation cannot easily be replaced.
Put the guide to work
Include links embedded inside images and QR codes in the audit. They are easy to overlook during a text-only review. Scan the code from the actual printed or displayed material and confirm that the destination still matches the promise made beside it.
Hypothetical example
An event card links to a brochure that opens correctly but contains an obsolete contact. The audit catches the mismatch and updates the maintained destination. Future visitors reach the current team even though the physical cards are already in circulation.
