Preserve both parts of the story

The quotation describes the proposed commercial commitment; the relevant transaction record describes financial activity. A difference between them needs explanation through the agreement and actual provider information. Do not silently rewrite one to match the other or assume the record establishes every item included in the original scope.

Keep adjustments inspectable

If the parties agree a change, retain the updated context and connect it to the relevant event. The history feature helps locate activity, while the commercial documents explain why the amount is appropriate.

Imagine this

Hypothetical worked scene

In a hypothetical service purchase, the final agreed scope differs from the original quote. The professional preserves that change and connects it to the relevant financial record. A later reviewer can understand the amount without assuming the transaction entry itself contains the complete agreement or that the first quotation still governs every detail.

Make it practical.
