Find the old copies
Map where a customer might discover receiving instructions: invoices, downloadable proposals, email signatures, saved templates and shared folders. Mark who owns each location. A new announcement alone may not prevent an old attachment from being forwarded months later or used by someone who never received the update.
Keep a controlled archive
Retain historical versions for explaining past records, but make their status unmistakable and keep them away from current customer workflows. Ask the appointed provider what happens to attempted payments using retired details; do not invent an automatic forwarding rule. Tap Tap Go’s proposed receiving services are coming soon, so this process should be prepared before any eventual instruction change.
An illustrative future scenario
Imagine an agency adopting a future supported receiving arrangement. It updates live templates, labels old proposals as historical and gives its support team a short script for customers holding older invoices. Each document now has an understandable role.
Make it practical.
