Choose the outcome carefully
For Tap Tap Go, a programme might aim to support relevant introductions, purchases or meaningful profile adoption. Define the intended outcome before dividing programme spending by activity. Cost per tap, cost per qualified enquiry and cost per activated customer answer different questions.
Include the operating work
Rewards are only part of the cost if the programme also requires review, support or fulfilment. Use consistent boundaries when comparing campaigns. Do not present a narrow reward-only ratio as the complete acquisition cost or as evidence that a programme can scale unchanged.
Hypothetical programme scene
Hypothetically, an illustrative programme spends $600 on benefits and produces 30 qualified enquiries, giving $20 per enquiry before other costs. If only six become meaningful customer activations, the benefit cost per activation is $100. The denominator changes the interpretation.
Make it practical.
