Track the stages separately

For a Tap Tap Go-related rewards programme, identify the qualifying event, recognition issued and actual benefit fulfilment. These stages may occur at different times. A count of points or awards is not automatically the amount of cash paid, and unused benefits should not be treated casually as profit.

Plan delivery resources

Use the actual programme terms and appropriate financial advice to understand commitments. Operational planning should still estimate the resources needed if eligible members use their benefits. Keep assumptions visible rather than relying on low participation to make an offer appear affordable.

Imagine this

Hypothetical programme scene

Hypothetically, a programme records 100 eligible benefits while 30 have been used so far. That is not proof the remaining 70 will never be used. The operator needs a clear fulfilment plan and appropriate treatment of the outstanding programme position.

Make it practical.
