Translate internal terminology
An internal title may be accurate without being understandable outside your business. Keep it if needed, but add a sentence describing the outcome you help people work toward. Include the audience and the kind of work involved. Avoid promising results that depend on factors you cannot control. A useful offer statement makes it easier for the right person to recognise a relevant problem and start a focused conversation.
Define the boundary
Explain what is included in the first conversation or engagement. A clear boundary can prevent unsuitable enquiries and reduce repeated clarification. Do not squeeze an entire proposal into the headline; use the profile introduction for the basic promise and a separate section for scope. Test the wording by asking whether a reader could introduce you accurately to someone else. If the explanation changes every time, simplify the language.
Hypothetical example
A hypothetical “Strategic Solutions Director” adds “I help multi-site retailers plan customer-service workflows.” The title remains for corporate context, while the offer explains the practical reason to get in touch. The enquiry page then distinguishes an initial discovery call from a paid implementation project.
Make it practical.
