Separate presentation from administration

The multiple-profile concept can support different professional contexts, but ownership must be established through the actual account arrangement and organisational process. Identify which profile is personal, which represents the company and who may change each. Do not assume that a company logo makes the organisation the owner of a personal account, or that an employee can take company-managed resources into a new role without review.

Plan for ordinary change

Discuss role changes, departures and corrections before they become urgent. Keep a record of the relevant administrators and support routes. The public profiles should explain the current relationship accurately, while internal arrangements govern how changes are made. Multiple profiles can offer flexibility only when that flexibility does not obscure responsibilities. Verify the product’s current permissions rather than inventing a universal transfer or separation mechanism.

Imagine this

Hypothetical scenario

A hypothetical employee maintains a personal professional profile and a company-managed role profile. The company documents who controls its content and what happens after a role change. The employee can present both contexts accurately without treating them as interchangeable administrative assets.

Make it practical.
