Connect the invitation to a real interaction
When using the review-display feature as part of a wider customer journey, separate reading reviews from inviting someone to write one. A prospect can read existing feedback before deciding. A customer should be invited to describe an experience they actually had. Do not ask someone to write a service review merely because they attended a sales demonstration or received a promotional card.
Keep the invitation honest and optional
Use neutral wording and follow the review platform’s current rules. Do not draft praise for a customer to copy or imply that support depends on a favourable review. The profile can provide a convenient route, while the request itself should make the purpose clear. If the experience is incomplete or there is an unresolved issue, ensure the person has an appropriate support channel. Feedback and service resolution should remain distinct processes.
Hypothetical scenario
A hypothetical customer completes an onboarding session and is invited to share an honest account of that experience. The request does not ask them to rate features they have not used. A separate support contact remains available for questions or problems.
Make it practical.
