Identify whose experience is being told
A biography may describe your own professional development, while a case study describes work involving another organisation. Do not assume that a personal perspective removes the need to respect client confidentiality or accurate attribution. The profile should make clear which parts are your reflection and which are facts about the engagement.
Keep the story relevant and fair
Use approved details and avoid exposing private disputes to make the narrative dramatic. A personal lesson can be explained without naming sensitive circumstances. The reader should understand your approach while the client’s information remains within the agreed boundary.
Hypothetical scenario
A hypothetical consultant describes learning to clarify approval roles earlier in a project. They explain the changed practice without publishing a client’s internal disagreement or presenting private feedback as a public quotation.
Make it practical.
