Choose the relevant dimensions
List the features customers ask about and the conditions that affect access, such as account type, location or programme status. Use plain states such as available, subject to review or planned, with a short explanation. Do not populate the table from assumptions or a sales presentation alone. Each entry should have a responsible product owner and a current basis.
Keep the matrix connected to action
Explain where a customer can confirm their own eligibility or ask a question. Avoid making a table so broad that it hides important exceptions. Review it when partners, programmes or product releases change. If information is not confirmed, say so rather than selecting the most optimistic status. A useful matrix supports accurate conversations across sales, support and marketing.
Hypothetical example
A hypothetical platform separates profile sharing from optional financial services. The matrix makes clear that the identity journey and a partner-provided payment feature have different availability conditions. A prospect can assess the relevant feature without assuming the entire platform behaves identically in every market.
Make it practical.
