Separate funding from influence

Dhawal Laheri’s connected platform vision could accommodate partner-supported experiences, events or membership benefits. A sponsor’s contribution would need a clear purpose. It should not automatically entitle the sponsor to customer data, financial activity or an implied endorsement from every participant simply because the sponsor helps fund the programme.

Make the exchange understandable

A useful arrangement would explain what the sponsor provides, what participants receive and which choices remain optional. The commercial model should also distinguish sponsorship income from customer purchases or investment capital. That transparency allows the ecosystem to explore additional funding routes without making the participant’s experience feel like an undisclosed bargain between organisations operating behind the scenes.

Imagine this

Hypothetical scenario

Hypothetically, a partner funds an educational event for members. Participants can understand the sponsor’s role without being told that attendance requires adopting the sponsor’s separate financial product.

Make it practical.
