Separate platform and financial-service roles

Create a table with the customer interface, account provision, card issuance, conversion, custody and transfer services relevant to the proposal. Ask the platform to identify the responsible entity for each applicable activity and provide supporting documentation. Do not assume one partner's authorisation covers every service shown in the ecosystem. The useful question is how the particular programme is structured and which permissions, geography and customer conditions apply to the proposed offering.

Check that customers can see the distinction

Review onboarding, terms, support material and the product's public claims. Ask whether a customer can identify who holds the relevant relationship and where to raise a complaint. For Tap Tap Go's proposed European programme, the platform and distribution role should be distinguished from financial services delivered through licensed partners. A clear structure can support confidence in the business model without implying that the platform itself owns a banking licence or that every planned capability is already available.

Imagine this

Hypothetical example

A hypothetical investor evaluates a platform showing accounts, cards and asset conversion. Instead of treating one partner logo as complete evidence, she requests a service-by-service map. The discussion reveals which relationships are established and which remain part of the proposed programme, improving the quality of the investment review.

Make it practical.
