Teach the workflow, not a script alone
Give colleagues a simple scenario, the intended audience and the steps that show the relevant value. Explain the conditions behind the demonstration, including configuration or eligibility requirements. A memorised pitch can fall apart when someone asks an unexpected question. Staff should know how to distinguish a live feature from a roadmap item and how to find an answer they do not know.
Practise recovery and honesty
Rehearse common interruptions, device issues and questions outside the presenter’s expertise. Provide approved reference material and a follow-up route. Do not reward improvisation that turns uncertainty into a confident but unsupported claim. Review demonstrations periodically as the product changes. A short, accurate explanation builds a stronger relationship than an expansive promise the delivery team later has to correct.
Hypothetical example
A hypothetical team rehearses a profile-sharing demonstration and a separate explanation of optional financial features. When asked about an unconfirmed country, the presenter records the question for verification rather than assuming coverage. The follow-up supplies the appropriate current information.
Make it practical.
