Connect the code to the session

If a presentation includes a profile QR, explain what it opens and which resource relates to the talk. Do not place a code on a slide without context and expect every viewer to scan immediately. Offer the appropriate readable route or follow-up resource where practical. The profile should preserve the connection between the speaker and the subject.

Review the post-session experience

Check that the linked material remains current after the event. Remove time-limited instructions when they expire. Do not treat a scan as attendance verification or permission for further outreach. The code’s job is to make useful information available, while any next conversation depends on the audience member’s choice.

Imagine this

Hypothetical scenario

A hypothetical speaker shows a profile QR labelled with the session resource. Attendees who open it later still find the relevant guide and speaker context, rather than an expired event-only message.

Make it practical.
