Map the two layers

A professional profile may link to a document hosted or managed through a separate process. Changing the profile’s visibility does not necessarily change that file’s access conditions. Treat the two as related but distinct layers. Identify who should see the profile and who should be able to open each resource.

Test the recipient’s route

Open the journey using the access context the intended recipient will have. Check whether the file is available, restricted or unexpectedly editable. Use current product and document-host guidance rather than assuming a universal relationship between settings. A coherent plan lets the profile be welcoming while keeping sensitive resources in the appropriate place.

Imagine this

Hypothetical scenario

A hypothetical profile links to a public overview and a separate controlled project resource. The owner verifies both destinations instead of assuming that one profile setting governs the two files identically.

Make it practical.
