Explain the condition that shaped the work

A project image becomes more informative when the profile explains a real constraint such as an existing footprint, limited source material or a fixed event sequence. Choose a constraint relevant to the viewer’s decision. Avoid turning ordinary conditions into invented drama. Connect the visible choice to the brief and explain the part you played.

Show the consequence without claiming perfection

Describe what was prioritised and what remained outside scope. A constraint often creates a trade-off, and acknowledging it helps a prospective client assess fit. The portfolio should demonstrate judgement under actual conditions rather than imply that every limitation disappeared. Supporting documents can provide more detail for an interested reader.

Imagine this

Hypothetical scenario

A hypothetical studio explains how an existing entrance position shaped a reception layout. The case study identifies the chosen compromise and does not pretend that the project changed the building’s entire circulation system.

Make it practical.
