Do not hide the essentials in video

A video introduction can communicate personality, but it should not be the only place where the offer is explained. Put your name, work and next step in visible text. Provide a short written summary alongside longer audiovisual material. The visitor can then decide whether to watch rather than being forced to do so before understanding the page. This also helps people revisit a detail without replaying an entire clip.

Design a useful preview

Choose a video thumbnail that accurately represents the content and label its purpose. A visitor should know whether they are opening a personal introduction, a project walkthrough or a product demonstration. Keep automatic sound out of an unexpected profile visit. If a transcript or caption option is available, check that names and specialist terms are accurate. Errors in an automatic transcription can change the meaning of a professional explanation.

Imagine this

Hypothetical example

A hypothetical event attendee opens a profile during a panel discussion. They read a two-sentence service summary and save the longer introduction for later. Because the booking action is visible in text, they can still arrange a conversation without disturbing the room.

Make it practical.
