Add context before comparison

A week of exhibitions, a week of existing-client meetings and a week of implementation support create different patterns of profile activity. Confirm which metrics the current system provides and add the relevant operating context from your team records. Avoid assuming that the largest count represents the strongest performance. A fair comparison starts with understanding what the employee was asked to accomplish and which introduction opportunities were available.

Use the comparison to learn

Look for questions that lead to useful improvements: whether a resource worked well in a particular setting, whether visitors understood the offer or whether a follow-up process was difficult. Keep the definitions consistent across periods. Corporate analytics can help surface these questions, but they do not automatically measure the quality of every relationship. The benefit is a more realistic management conversation that connects activity to the work, rather than an attractive ranking built from unlike situations.

Imagine this

A hypothetical scene

One employee attends a public event while another supports a complex existing account. Their profile activity differs sharply. The manager reviews each against the work assigned and learns that the event profile needs a clearer next step, instead of treating the raw difference as a simple performance judgement.

Make it practical.
