Choose the right availability language

Decide whether the listing represents confirmed stock, made-to-order work or a service whose capacity must be checked. Confirm the actual inventory and ordering capabilities of the current configuration rather than assuming real-time synchronisation. A product image remaining visible does not prove the item can be delivered immediately. State the practical next step for confirming availability where that information is not directly maintained in the listing.

Protect the customer’s expectation

Keep the offer, checkout route and fulfilment team aligned. If availability changes, update the relevant information and handle active enquiries appropriately. The benefit of a storefront is discovery and a clear route toward purchase, not an excuse to promise certainty the operation cannot provide. A customer can still make progress with a well-explained confirmation step, especially when the product or service is specialised and needs preparation before a delivery commitment is made.

Imagine this

A hypothetical scene

A studio lists a limited service package but does not maintain live scheduling in the storefront. The listing invites a capacity check before commitment. Customers understand that the offer is available for discussion without assuming every date shown in an illustrative portfolio can be booked immediately.

Make it practical.
